WHAT'S NEW!
Plan Review Fee's due at time of documentation submittal effective July 1st, 2026
Demolition Permits Required as of 1/1/2026
Any new construction or any addition, alteration, or repair to an existing building requires a building permit. Wiring, plumbing, and mechanical installations such as furnaces and wood stoves also require the issuance of appropriate permits before the work is performed. Once work is underway, permit holders are required to call for an inspection of the work at various stages of the project.
The Building Division issues permits and performs inspections for all of unincorporated Lincoln County and for the cities of Depoe Bay, Siletz, Toledo, Waldport, and Yachats.
If you are planning new construction, or remodeling work on an existing building, please contact the Building Division to determine the appropriate permits that will be required for your project. See how to apply for permits, requirements for building plans, and required inspections.
Oregon E-Permitting
Oregon E-Permitting allows Contractors to view development, apply for permits, schedule inspections and review supporting documents. It also allows the public to review issued permits, inspections, documents and pay most fees. When searching, the public does not need to create a log in to view permits.
When applying for a building application you will need to apply through Oregon E-Permitting. Afterwards, a member of Planning will reach out to you.
