Lincoln County School District

Lincoln County School District General Obligation Bond Authorization.

Question

Shall Lincoln County School District be authorized to issue general obligation bonds not exceeding $63,000,000? If the bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are not subject to the limits of sections 11 and 11b, Article XI of the Oregon constitution.

Summary

If approved, this measure would provide funds for capital assets and bond issuance costs.

Specifically, this measure is expected to provide funds to:

  • Construct, furnish, and equip new Waldport High School to move students and teachers our of the tsunami zone.
  • Construct, furnish, and equip new classrooms at existing sites to replace portable classrooms that are past their useful life.
  • Increase available classrooms to meet the future needs of grades Kindergarten through 3rd.
  • Make improvements to bring all facilities to ADA compliance and safety standards.
  • Make site improvements, athletic field improvements and pay demolition costs.
  • Pay capitalized interest.
  • Pay bond issuance fees.

The Bonds would mature in eighteen years or less from the date of issuance and may be issued in one or more series.
