[ARCHIVED] Commissioners Support Creating More Child Care with Grants

child care provider grants

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners, through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, seeks to support Lincoln County-based child care providers through grants, for either the expansion of existing child care operations or the creation of new child care businesses, in order to increase child care availability in our communities. The total amount allocated to this grant is $400,000. Eligible child care providers can apply for up to $15,000 for eligible expenses. Details on eligible expenses are provided within the interest form.

Completed interest forms will be reviewed by a committee made up of child care business experts and advocates. Recommendations from the committee will be reviewed by Lincoln County. A member of the committee will reach out to interested providers regarding the next step in the application process. Questions about this grant can be directed to Shanelle Burch at sburch@co.lincoln.or.us

Please Note: Priority will be given to child care providers serving children 5 years of age and younger, where the current need is greatest.
