meantime, please keep these tips in mind:
When possible, stay off the roads. Accessing roads that are closed puts yourself, responders, and work crews at risk (and further delays getting roads cleared).

Due to the predicted winter storm, parts of Lincoln County are experiencing hazardous road conditions and widespread power outages.
- Keep yourself and household safe:
- Avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary.
- Roads may be blocked with fallen debris and public safety responders may not be able to reach you.
- Some roads are closed.
- Highway 18 from MP 1 to MP 8
- Highway 229 from 101 to Siletz
- Highway 20 from Newport to Eddyville
- Debris may continue to fall.
- If your power goes out, keep yourself warm:
- Wear layers of lightweight, warm clothing.
- Close blinds or curtains and close off rooms to retain heat.
- Stuff towels or rags in cracks under doors.
- Eat and drink to provide energy to your body. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
- Prevent carbon monoxide poisoning from generators, heaters, and cook stoves: cdc.gov/co/faqs.htm

- Continue to check reliable sources for updates on road closures, conditions, and power outages.
