Citizen Academy 2024 - Week 1
Last night we kicked off our first week of the 2024 Citizen Academy and had a great time welcoming participants.

Who are our participants this year?
- Community members from ages 16 – 82
- Representing Lincoln County communities: Depoe Bay, Gleneden Beach, Lincoln City, Newport, Siletz, South Beach, Toledo, Waldport, and Yachats
- Jobs and experience ranging from Student, Retired, Volunteer, County Commissioner, Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, City Counselor, Social Worker, and more.
After participant and team introductions, Sheriff Landers presented on the History of the Sheriff. We are looking forward to the remaining 10 weeks of our Academy where we will continue to share information on our teams with presentations, tours, and hands-on activities.
