The key duties of this council are to develop and recommend to the County Board of Commissioners a plan for use of state resources to serve the local adult and youth offender populations, which plan must provide for coordination of community-wide services involving prevention, treatment, education, employment resources and intervention strategies; coordinate local criminal justice and juvenile justice policies among affected criminal justice and juvenile justice entities; and, in consultation with the local commission on children and families, develop and recommend to the County Board of Commissioners a plan designed to prevent criminal involvement by youth.
Meetings
Virtual meetings are held on the last Friday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September & November) at 10:30 am - 12:00 pm.
Anyone interested in attending a meeting should contact the LPSCC coordinator no later than 5:00 pm on the day prior to the meeting. Meeting login information is also available on the agenda for the meeting.
