- Direct Housing Extension Combined - Spanish (PDF): The Direct Housing mission has been extended for Oregon 2020 Wildfire Survivors. At the request of the state, FEMA has granted a six-month extension for the Direct Housing program for wildfire survivors in Jackson, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, and Marion Counties, extending the mission to September 15. Direct housing occupants will be required to pay rent at a fair market value beginning April 1; however, you can request a readjustment from FEMA based on hardships unique to your circumstances. - Weekly Update - September 24, 2021: Work on the final 13 properties - and any new additions following the September 15 deadline - started last week and will be completed in the coming weeks. Any remaining hazard trees in the fire area are on these pending home sites awaiting removal and this is scheduled to be completed in the coming month.

- May 26, 2021: Interviews with 5 wildfire survivors to receive insight into how they have remained resilient when faced with losing their homes, jobs, and even loved ones.
- May 21, 2021: New video from Oregon Department of Transportations' (ODOTs) Debris Management Task Force - by size alone, the 2,500-acre Echo Mountain Complex Fire was tiny compared to the massive Labor Day wildfires that burned in the Cascades and southern Oregon, but its localized impact on the small coastal town of Otis was just as devastating.
- Weekly Update - May 14, 2021: With just 16 home sites left to clear, work is nearly complete. Pending final soil samples, it is anticipated cleanup work in the Echo Mountain Fire area will wrap up by the end of the month. Work at the Salmon River Mobile Village is complete awaiting final soil testing results.
- May 7, 2021: If you rely on a private well or surface water system for your drinking water, please take five minutes to complete the survey. - April 12, 2021: The Wildfire Damage Housing Relief Account Program assists households of lower income that suffered a loss of housing due to a wildfire.

- March 29, 2021: Were you displaced by the Echo Mountain Fire Complex last fall? You are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine now! North Lincoln Fire is hosting a dedicated clinic for you in Otis on Saturday, April 3rd. This clinic will have the Johnson and Johnson (Janssen) vaccine so you only have to get one shot.

- March 26, 2021: Echo Mountain Fire Area: Crews continue to work quickly in the area, with dozens of sites completed and four sites recently completed in one day and work about to begin on a local mobile home park site. Hazard tree removal work continues near debris removal operations. To allow our crews to maintain an accelerated pace, property owners who have not yet opted into the debris removal program are strongly encouraged to do so.

- March 5, 2021: Lincoln County is requesting public feedback on the response to the September wildfire in the Otis area. Survey questions focus on response efforts, fire notification, communication, and future outreach. Anyone in Lincoln County is encouraged to take the survey.

- March 2, 2021: Property Status Map - By the Numbers Dashboard - Daily Project Status: Enter your property address or access number to view the Step 2 cleanup status for your property. Your property will be highlighted or outlined in one of the colors on the map legend. This is your property's status. Information is updated daily.

- March 1, 2021: North Lincoln County there is still time to participate in the state-led cleanup. Wildfire Debris Cleanup Hotline: 503-934-1700. Please note: Home and business owners must sign a Right of Entry Form with their county to allow cleanup crews onto their property. Even those who did not join in Step 1 of the cleanup, which focused on hazardous household waste, may still opt into the program.

- February 22, 2021: To increase accessibility to legal services, Legal Aid has launched a Wildfire Disaster Relief Hotline.

- February 16, 2021: Property owners who have submitted ROE (Right of Entry) will be receiving this letter today via email and through the postal service. Ash and debris removal is the culmination of cleanup for property owners. Before it can occur, any trees hazardous to crews must be removed.

- Oregon Lifeline: A federal and state government program that reduces the monthly cost of phone or broadband service for qualifying low-income Oregon households.
- February 15 and 17, 2021: Wildfire Recovery Public Hearings - The Oregon Legislature House Special Committee on Wildfire Recovery will be holding two public hearings to hear from Oregonians about your post-fire experiences and needs related to shelter and basic needs, clean-up, and rebuilding.

- Weekly Update - February 12, 2021 | Echo Mountain Fire Area: Hazard tree removal work and planning on impacted properties is underway, and work orders for ash and debris removal on properties will begin in the coming weeks. Prep for this work includes the final stages of environmental testing, placing address signs, coordinating with property owners and mobilizing crews. Wet weather continues to play a factor on the coast.
- FEMA has begun construction on a site where temporary housing units will be provided to qualified survivor families from Lincoln County. Once completed, the new site in Lincoln City is expected to hold up to 21 temporary housing units.

- Echo Mountain Arts Fund: Helps the diverse population of artists, visual or performing, who have lost finished or partially completed work, as well as tools, supplies, instruments, or other equipment. If you have lost the means to perform or produce your art, as a direct result of the Echo Mountain Fire, you are eligible to apply.

- Property Owners Affected by September's Wildfires: Must provide specific cleanup needs to help crews plan and schedule upcoming work. If someone is not able to complete the questionnaire online, they can call the wildfire hotline at 503-934-1700.

- The public assistance deadline was extended to January 13th for local, tribal governments, state agencies, special districts, and certain private nonprofit organizations in designated areas for emergency work and the repair or replacement of public facilities damaged by wildfires. Eligible applicants may apply directly through the FEMA Grants Portal. If your agency is already registered in FEMA Grants Portal, submit an RPA directly at Grantee.fema.gov. If you are unable to access FEMA Grants Portal or need assistance in creating a Public Assistance Grants Portal user account, contact Public Assistance Grants Assistant, Selicity Icefire at 503-378-3934 or email Selcity Icefire.

- December 3, 2020: Red Cross Sheltering Assistance will transition over to the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS). ODHS intends to continue to provide shelter while people need it and are committed to a successful transition for each person currently in the shelter.

- Wells and Septic Systems may be eligible for FEMA Assistance. Households that don't have insurance or have received an insurance settlement of less than the cost to repair serious damage may apply to FEMA.

- FEMA is extending its Multi-Family Lease and Repair (MLR) program. This program dedicates funds for land owners whose property had more than three available units and could be quickly repaired to local, state, and federal codes and standards.

- Wildfire disasters can be very difficult, both physically and emotionally. Stress, anxiety, and other depression-like symptoms are common reactions after a disaster.
