COVID-19 Updates: October 2023

Recent access to the COVID-19 vaccine has been difficult for many, including Lincoln County Public Health due to shipping and manufacturing delays in Oregon, and across the country. We know the COVID-19 vaccine is important to many and appreciate the community's patience as we navigate this new process.

If you are having trouble finding a vaccine, please visit the Vaccines.gov search tool to find a location near you. We recommend calling ahead to any location as availability of the vaccine may vary.

If you do not have insurance, please call us at 541-265-4112 x8 for assistance in finding a non-billable COVID vaccine.

The newly authorized 2023-2024 Novavax vaccine is starting to show up at some pharmacies, and is a fine alternative to the mRNA vaccines, because it is also updated with the Omicron XBB.1.5 spike protein.

In the meantime, we recommend getting other vaccines that you might need, such as flu and RSV, while we wait for the COVID-19 vaccine supply to become available.
