Update
Lincoln County and its state and local partners have recently updated the 2010 Community Wildfire Protection Plan. The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners approved the 2018 plan on August 15, 2018.
Background
The Lincoln County Community Wildfire Protection Plan was originally completed in 2009-10 by the Lincoln County Fire Defense Board, the Oregon Department of Forestry, and the Lincoln County Department of Planning and Development with project facilitation and support provided by Northwest Management, Inc. of Moscow, Idaho. This Community Wildfire Protection Plan will be reviewed annually and updated at least every five years starting from the year of adoption.
The Community Wildfire Protection Plan expands on the wildfire chapter of the Lincoln County Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan (PDF), which was approved by FEMA in 2015. Although published as a separate document, the Community Wildfire Protection Plan will be considered a supplement to the wildfire chapter of the Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan.
