Elk City Park

Elk City Park is nestled in the coast range mountains at the intersection of the Big Elk River and the Yaquina River. The park is located 22.5 river miles upstream from the mouth of the Yaquina, within tidal boundaries. This quiet low-traffic park has 12 camping sites on two acres.  A boat ramp is accessible year round.   

The restrooms are wheelchair accessible and have flush toilets.


Campground
  • All campsites are first come, first serve.  No reservations.
  • Limit of 10 people, 4 tents, 1 RV and 2 additional vehicles.   
  • Check out time is 1:00 p.m.
  • 10 day stay limit.
  • Day use of campsites are not allowed.
  • The campground is closed during winter months, from November 1 to March 31.

Schedules & Fees
  • $25 per campsite.
  • $7 per extra vehicle
  • $5 per firewood bundle
  • No day use fees
  • Credit cards are not accepted at this park.  Cash or check only.

The check in process is a self-service process. Campers will select their own site, fill out an envelope, insert payment and drop in payment box. The top portion of the envelop is placed in the windshield of the registered vehicle, where it can be seen by park staff. At Toledo, U.S.-Highway 20 Junction (Darry Queen) take U.S.-Bus. 20, 1.2 miles. Turn right on NW A Street (traffic light) cross first set of railroad tracks (3 blocks, at Post Office). Turn left on 1st Street cross second set of railroad tracks (1 block). Turn right on to Butler Bridge Road 1.4 miles. Stay left to continue onto Elk City Road 8.6 miles to Elk City Park on left side.

For larger RVs Do Not Enter directly off of U.S.-Highway 20 at Elk City Road 12.5 miles east of the Toledo junction. There is Railroad Trestle with a low 12-foot clearance and very limited turnaround area.
