The District is a county service district, within the County Public Works Department, specifically established to manage county-wide solid waste programs, with emphasis on:


  • solid waste management planning

  • waste reduction

  • recycling promotion

  • reduce and reuse promotion

  • backyard composting

  • control of illegal dumping

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners are seeking new members for the Lincoln County Solid Waste Disposal Service District Advisory Committee (SWAC).

The Committee will consist of 12 members: one representative from each of the seven incorporated cities, one representative from each of the three sanitary and recycling companies (haulers), one representative from County government and one public member at large appointed by the Board of Commissioners.  The Program Manager of the Lincoln County Solid Waste District (District) will serve as staff for the SWAC.
