Permits

The Road Department requires permits for activities that are performed within the County Right Of Way. Activities included in the permitting system include utility work, driveway access, and vegetation management.

The Lincoln County Code addresses definitions for these activities.

Note: Please review instructions specific to each permit application.

Transportation permits are also required if hauling loads that are over-dimension. Contact the Public Works Department (address in page footer) for complete information regarding load configurations.

Permit to PERFORM OPERATIONS ON A COUNTY ROAD

This permit is for work associated with Utilities, such as new installations, repair/replacement of existing utilities.

There is a $150.00 fee for this application, although it does not apply to Public Utilities.

This permit is for work associated with adding a new driveway access, or changing the use of an existing access.

There is a $100.00 fee for this application.

Permit to CONTROL VEGETATION

This permit is for those who wish an alternative to herbicides. The applicant agrees to keep brush and vegetation trimmed or removed.
