Facilities Maintenance
Personnel and ResponsibilitiesFacilities Management is a general fund department. Personnel consist of a Maintenance Supervisor and two Maintenance Technicians. The department provides or administers the following:
The department's primary function is as a support service to all other county departments; to keep our buildings operational for county staff and accessible to the public. This is a function whose duties have increased several-fold over the past 20 years with the addition/enlargement of departments and new buildings generated by increased space requirements for health, corrections, and court operations. One of the department's main tasks is meeting the changing space needs of the various departments and keeping buildings and systems upgraded and current. This is most true in the courthouse (built in 1954, enlarged in 1964) as systems age and deteriorate and finishes, surfacing, and fixtures become outdated. |
