How to Apply for a Job

A Lincoln County application must be completed for employment consideration.


  • Resumes may be attached but are not acceptable as a substitute for completing the application.

  • Applications are accepted only for open jobs.

  • You must file a separate application for each position desired.

  • You are welcome to prepare a master application and copy it for multiple job applications. If you choose to do this, on page one of the application, leave the "Position Applied For" and "Date of Application" blank, and, on the last page, leave the "List any additional information...," "Signed," and "Date" sections blank. Then complete these sections using a copy of the master for each job applied for. You may FAX your application (541-265-4906) in by the deadline, but you must also mail the hard copy.

All applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on date of closing. Typically, our interviewing and hiring process will begin after the closing date. For some jobs, interviews may begin prior to the closing date, with additional interviews scheduled after the closing date. Candidates interviewed after the closing date will be given equal consideration to those candidates interviewed before the closing date.

Note: Employment is contingent upon the successful passage of a background check, which may include a drug test, criminal history check, reference check, and a driver's license check.

If you are not selected for an interview, you will receive a letter notifying you that you were not selected to interview.

Under the provision of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, Lincoln County requires any person hired or rehired to provide evidence of identity and eligibility for employment by completing an I-9 form.
