The Lincoln County Drug Endangered Children (DEC) Program

DEC is a multi-agency approach to assist and protect children whose lives, health, and safety are jeopardized by meth labs, meth dealing, or meth addiction in the family home.

DEC is designed to provide a comprehensive response by coordinating the efforts of law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors, and health professionals.

As of December 21, 2007, the following grant funded DEC services have been provided through the Lincoln County Children's Advocacy Center:

Forensic interviews 46 children
Medical assessments 24 children
Counseling 78 children and their families

Children's Advocacy Center   Oregon DHS

As of December 18, 2008, the following grant funded DEC services have been provided through child protective services:

Replacement clothing and personal affects 120 children
