Park Description

This park is twenty-two acres located on the peaceful Yaquina River, within tidal boundaries and great fish runs. Picnic tables are set between large trees, and restrooms with a holding tank are located on the premises. Cannon Quarry Park has a nature trail, located just across the road, approximately one mile long. The trail has a fairly steep grade but rewards you with a spectacular view of the river.

Park Improvements

Funding assistance from the Oregon State Marine Board, Sports Fish Restoration Funds, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, along with matching funds from the County, has provided the much needed improvements to the boat launch and floating dock at Cannon Quarry Park.

These improvements are the first phase in the complete renovation of the park which include a new staging area for launching, better parking for vehicles with trailers, and the replacement of the existing restrooms.

DIRECTIONS: Take Hwy 20, exit on Business Loop 20 into Toledo. Turn south at the traffic light, follow Butler Bridge Road past Georgia-Pacific paper mill. Turn left at all Y- intersections staying on Elk City Road for three miles. The park will be on the north side of the road.
