During the eclipse select County offices and services will be closed to the public. Most closures will be effective Monday, August 21, 2017. But, there are some exceptions (see below). Additional updates will be added as they are determined.
Courthouse Parking Lot
The County Courthouse parking lot will be closed to the public August 19 through the 21st.
Transit Intercity Bus, Lincoln City Loop Bus, Coast to Valley Express Bus, Newport City Loop Bus and Dial-a-Ride will all be closed Monday August 21st. Expect possible delays in service Saturday and Sunday before the Eclipse and possibly Tuesday after the Eclipse.
The Assessor's office will be closed August 21st.
The Surveyor's office will be closed Friday August 18th and Monday August 21st.
The Treasurer/Tax office will be closed August 21st. (Online payment options will be operational.)
(Child) Support Enforcement
The Support Enforcement office will be closed August 21st.
The Clerk's office will be closed August 21st.
The Finance office will be closed August 21st.
Health & Human Services
Veterans' Services Office
The Veterans' Services office will be closed August 21st.
Sheriff's Office - Support Services Division
Sheriff's Office - Support Services Division in the Courthouse Room 203 will be closed to walk-in traffic on August 21st. Limited staff may be available for telephone calls and/or questions.
Parole and Probation
The Parole and Probation office (and Work Crews) will be closed August 21st. Limited staff may be available for telephone calls and/or questions.
Lincoln County Circuit Court
Due to the expected high volume of traffic for the eclipse, the Lincoln County Circuit Court is limiting hearings and court functions as follows:
